Message:	This training is open to individuals working in the field of early childhood education! Please note that you must be able to commit to the entire day of training. Mental Health First Aid Training Part of a National Initiative to Increase Mental Health Literacy Friday, May 13, 2022 9am – 4pm. This is an in-person event on our mask-flexible Haverhill campus. Facilitated by Kathleen Bartolini Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Just as CPR helps those without clinical training to assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. Mental Health First Aid is included in SAMHSA’s National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices. There are now more than 1 million people in the US certified as Mental Health First Aiders. Course materials and certification provided. You must be able to commit to one full day from 9 – 4 plus two hours of self-paced work completed by 5/11 in order to be certified as a Mental Health First Aider. This program is being offered AT NO COST TO PARTICIPANTS by Northern Essex Community College with funding from the Career Pathways in Early Childhood Education Grant. Message:	The Red Bluff River Park was overflowing with fun yesterday as our local businesses, organizations and families came together for the 36th Annual Children’s Fair. It was a wonderful day filled with information, activities, and connection. We want to thank Public Works, Red Bluff PD and Probation for preparing the park for the event, the Children’s Fair committee for the countless hours spent organizing, all of the businesses and organizations that came out to support our children and families, and the community for attending to enjoy the day with us.
