Frontenac Gris – This off dry white wine charmer shows enticing tropical notes of pear & pineapple. Most often compared to a Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. Would pair nicely with the Whiskey Gouda.
Brianna – A proven favorite time and time again, this gold medal winner is a very likable semi-sweet white wine. Brianna presents tropical notes such as pineapple, mango and kiwi. A great match with Alina cheese.
Blush Wine:

LEBENSZEICHEN
Liebe Freunde, Bekannte und Kunden,
heute senden wir euch ein Lebenszeichen. Uns haben bisher dafür die Worte gefehlt…
Unserer Familie und unseren Mitarbeitern geht es gut und keiner wurde verletzt.
Wir haben dramatische Tage hinter uns und wohl auch noch sehr viele vor uns. Das Hochwasser hat unser Weingut so gut wie völlig zerstört. Unsere Vinothek und der alte Weinkeller mit Schatzkammer sowie das Büro wurden komplett geflutet und unter Schlammmassen begraben. Die Produktion, das Barrique-und Tanklager, die Maschinenhalle und das Flaschenlager wurden von der 6 m hohen “Flutwelle” erfasst. Fast alle Barriquefässer sind weggeschwommen, zum Großteil sogar die Tanks und unsere Weinpresse viele Kilometer mitgerissen. Wir stehen quasi vor dem Nichts.
Das alles verschwimmt aber hinter der Tatsache, dass viele Menschen ihr Leben verloren haben.
Das alles wäre Grund zum Verzweifeln, doch die Solidarität, Hilfsbereitschaft und Empathie, die uns von euch allen zu Teil wird, überwältigt uns und gibt und Kraft und Mut die anstehenden Aufgaben zu bewältigen und positiv in die Zukunft zu schauen. Unser wichtigstes Gut, die Weinberge sind zum Großteil unbeschädigt.
Wir stehen hier im Schulterschluss zusammen. Unsere tollen Mitarbeiter haben zum Teil auch all ihr Hab und Gut und ihre Häuser verloren, doch wir sind uns einig, dass wir einen gemeinsamen Neustart schaffen werden!
Im Moment sind wir dabei zu retten, was zu retten ist, unversehrte Flaschen und Habseligkeiten zu bergen. Wir haben nach wie vor keinen Strom und kein Wasser in Dernau, ebenso kaum Netz. Die Infrastruktur ist in jeder Hinsicht sehr eingeschränkt. Daher wird es noch ein paar Tage dauern, bis wir wieder per Email und Telefon erreichbar sind. Wir halten euch aber auf diesem Wege auf dem Laufenden!
