As we approach the beginning of our 30th harvest, it is fitting that we celebrate International Friendship Day. The name Amici means "friends" in Italian, and is a tribute to the friends who started our winery. Since our very first harvest our wines have always been created by friends, for friends. Our Research Block at first light, one that we hope will be the light at the end of the climate change tunnel.
Investigating climate change and it's impact on Napa Valley is of utmost importance here at Larkmead. Last year, we dedicated 3-acres of land adjacent to the winery to plant California heritage and Mediterranean grape varieties. We hope this viticulture research will help to protect the region as a whole and preserve its ability to produce quality wines for future generations. |
